A set of ten tests designed specifically for use with pupils of all abilities in the first four years of secondary school. They are indispensable aids to discovering students' current levels of understanding in Algebra, Fractions, Graphs, Measurement, Number Operations, Place Value and Decimals, Ratio and Proportion, Reflection and Rotation, and Vectors, and to exploring any currently held misconceptions. There is a Teacher's Guide which covers in detail the administration and marking of each test, and presents illuminative commentaries on the various responses pupils make in answering the questions. The Chelsea Diagnostic Mathematics Tests have been developed from the well known CSMS tests described in the book Children's Understanding of Mathematics: 11 - 16. |
